Free places are available to anyone who meets the criteria below.
You may also qualify if you’re:
- Individuals whose incomes fall below the London Living Wage
- Looking to retrain (must not have a level 3 in another specialism)
- Unemployed and want to rejoin the workforce
- Living in England
*Please note if you do not meet criteria, you will be offered the course as a full -fee paying student.
- Free only if on benefits. You’ll need to pay half the fees if you’re working.
- If you already have a Level 3 qualification, you may need to take out a loan to do a second Level 3.
Adults over 24
You’re on benefits
- Free only up to level 3.
- Must be your first Level 3 Qualification, we can offer funding that you won’t have to pay back as long as you complete the course.
Learners in receipt of low wage
- You may be fully eligible for funding if you’re earning less than £20,572.50 annual gross salary. However, eligibility applies.
Romain Designs Training offers a wide range of Funded part-time Courses for 19+, and those wanting to get a taster of a course before undertaking a full vocational qualification.
Next steps! once completing a Level 2 accredited qualification with us, you will be offered the opportunity to progress onto the Level 3 . These can also be flexible opportunities for employers to train their staff. The team is highly experienced and our learners have a consistently high success rate of progression to Higher Education.
*Please note these courses are set at Level 2 Certificate and will lead onto a Level 3 Diploma (see details of the pathway, on course progression). All classes are currently delivered via our online learning platform, (blended learning) and all students are supported by a trainer/assessor.

Level 2 Diploma in Care
Criteria any adult aged 24 and over who wants to achieve their first full level 3 qualification, which is equivalent to a technical certificate or diploma, or 2 full A levels, will be able to access these funded courses.
For the level 3 diploma, you must hold an English & Maths qualification at level 2 or be working towards achieving it. You must also be committed to completing the course for the full duration.
